A quick sneak peek of one of the TWO newborn sessions I had this past weekend! Baby Lake was sooooo adorable! With a head full of hair, she stole my heart away the second I saw her! Her parents, Blake and Karen are two of my favorite people and I was thrilled they asked me to photograph their sweet baby girl! Lots more to come in the next two weeks, so be sure to stop back by soon!! :)

February 18, 2010What a cutie this little guy was!
I had the opportunity to spend some time with an old co-worker of mine, from my Gulfstream days, and photograph his new baby boy, Elliot. Romie and Christine are so much fun to be around! Full of laughter and a wicked sense of humor, these two tell it like it is and I love it. :) Christine is a gifted writer, with a passion for gardening – she’s pretty much an expert, people. So, it was so much fun working with her to bring nature into our photo shoot somehow, to reflect who she is, as a person and as a mother.
Elliot was a tough one. Just did not want to sleep at all (but, he was quite a bit old for a ‘newborn’ session, so that was totally expected!) But, we did get a good mix of sleepy baby and wide awake looks, so it worked out great.
Romie and Christine – hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do! Congrats on your little one!
Favorite. Hands down. I DIE every time I see this one!!!!
When Elliot was born, he weighed 4lb, 15oz. So, Romie and Christine referred to him as their 5lb bag of pure sugar. :)
Blizzard of 2010
February 17, 2010In south GA, snow is not exactly a word we use very often and certainly not something we encounter on a usual basis. It’s a rarity. The kind that comes around only once every twenty years or so. And when it does, boy do we get excited! :) I remember the last time it really snowed down here was back in 1989. Yeah. The good old 80’s were coming to an end, a gallon of gas cost only 97 cents, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was the coolest movie ever, and it snowed in Waycross, GA. :) I was a HAPPY girl!! The first time in my life I had ever seen snow and it was cold, wet, slippery and so beautiful!
And twenty years later, I got just as giddy when the weatherman predicted snow again. :) Hubby and I ran out the back door, marveled at the little white fluffs falling down and then quickly ran back inside b/c like idiots, we didn’t put on jackets first. *L* We let the pups play in the snow and they loved it – tried to eat it.! We were planning on heading into town to eat dinner, but when we got into the truck and started down the road, we couldn’t see anything!!!! I mean, it was a blizzard! So, we turned around, headed home and hubby stayed true to himself by grilling out hamburgers on the back porch instead. ;) By the end of it all, we had a real winter wonderland. I swear, a blanket of white just makes everything prettier and cleaner. :)
Please excuse my oversized grandpa sweater…. I was curled up in front of the fire before it started snowing. :P

February 14, 2010Carrie and Mitzi | Statesboro, GA Photographer
February 8, 2010I had the chance to spend the afternoon with Carrie a few weeks ago and her adorable dog, Mitzi. Carrie recently graduated from GSU and wanted a few pics in her cap and gown, so we headed down to Sweetheart Circle (where she’ll be getting married in just a couple of months!!) and snapped a few shots, while standing in the middle of the road, dodging oncoming traffic!! Whatever you gotta do to get the shot, right? ;)
