Anna and I met at Georgia Southern University, in Professor Onyile’s Graphic Design class (I think!) and considering we had almost every one of our major classes together for the next year and a half, we sort of became friends. :)  She is INSANE and we totally get along perfectly!  She gets my ridiculous need to act retarded (especially if there’s any type of alcohol involved) and I totally get her ‘innerds’. *L* We both LUV photography, art, good books, long dirt roads, 90’s music, random acts of silliness, buffalo, picking cotton, Wet Willies, good conversations and Channing Tatum. :)  Anna is the type of girl that fits in everywhere she goes and you can’t help but enjoy being around her. She’s fun, loud, thoughtful, smart, GORGEOUS, goofy, and did I mention FUN??!! She can rock a pair of cowboy boots ANYWHERE – she wore them to our college graduation and to her wedding!

So, we decided to head up to Charleston for a ‘girls weekend’, leaving our hubbys at home to fend for themselves for a couple of days.  While we were there, I talked Anna into slipping back into her AMAZING wedding dress for a fun Trash the Dress session (no worries – no wedding dresses were harmed in the making of these photos.  It’s too pretty to really trash!).  We started out running around downtown Charleston for a bit (where the light was so pretty!!) and then sped out of the city a little ways to find a field for the second half of our fun… and it was COLD!!  This is going to be a two part post…  too much to share at once!!  :)

FAV session of the weekend!!  I had such a blast hanging out with Nicholas and Donovan at Ft. Pulaski last weekend!  They were total troopers, and we explored from one end of the fort to the other. :)  Nicholas loves all things military, so they had been there before.  He was such a cutie!  A tiny bit shy at first, but by the end of the afternoon I had him saying ‘booger pizza!’ and doing the Happy Dance with me, so I deemed it a success!   And Donovan??  Seriously?  That fella KILLS me with those gorgeous eyes, freckles and red hair!  He has no idea how much girls are going to dig that combo when he gets older! ;)

Michelle – I really hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed meeting your fun family!  I’m holding a permanent assistant position open for Donovan when he turns 16, cause that guy’s got a great eye! ;)  Thanks for letting me spend the afternoon with you!

This one above just cracked me up!  Nicholas didn’t know what to do and was sort of over it! *L*  And the one on the right was really sweet…  big brother Donovan was helping Nicholas make his way back across the high wall.  Sweet! :)

I had the lovely opportunity to spend some time with this beautiful family last week and I enjoyed every out-of-breath minute of it! :)  Corey contacted me from Nashville because she and her husband’s family were all traveling to Savannah to visit their mother for her 65th birthday and wanted to have some portraits of the family taken.  I just loved that idea! :)  There were 9 people total, one of which was a gorgeous, but not-so-into-me 16mo old!  Little Skyler didn’t want anything to do with this photographer and I had to play ‘chase the goose’ all afternoon! *L*  But it was was great time and it was such a pleasure meeting this lovely family!!

Photographing two newborns at once is always a major challenge, but I was up for it and I tackled Baby Lake’s and Baby Stetson’s portraits in the same session. :) He was such a doll!  Slept the whole time and was so easy to work with!

Mitzi – I kept these simple and clean and I hope you guys enjoy them!  Thank you for letting me photograph your baby boy!! :)
